Align, Refine, Release

A 2,5 hours hip-opener Masterclass with Matt Giordano 10 April 2026

A group of people participating in a yoga class, with a male instructor leading the session while sitting on his knees, surrounded by women sitting on yoga mats in a bright room.

About the masterclass

This highly informative and focused hip-opener Masterclass supports a deeper understanding of how your body moves and functions in practice. Through precise muscle engagement and joint alignment, Matt guides you in exploring how small adjustments can create lasting changes in the way you sit, stand, move, and practice yoga. Matt’s teaching empowers and informs you about techniques that support long-lasting change in the body, while guiding you toward a new connection with and experience of your hips, lower back, and pelvic floor.

What to expect

  • A deep asana practice that allows you to explore new techniques and alignment

  • Mobility work that translates across your entire practice and the way you move your body

  • A new sense of connection and access to your hips and pelvic floor

  • Practical tools you can apply immediately

Optional Intensive: Flight & Foundation

11-12 April 2026, 10:00 - 16:30 hrs

Matt’s weekend immersion explores the mechanics of sustainable movement through targeted asana focusing on alignment, biomechanics, mobility, and technique.

You will develop practical flexibility that serves your practice long-term, not just in the moment. Through intelligent sequencing designed to open pathways in your body, you'll access poses and transitions that might otherwise feel out of reach.

The weekend balances foundational alignment principles with the playful challenge of arm balances, giving you tools to practice smarter and move with greater ease.

The Intensive can be joined on its own, or added to your Masterclass booking at a reduced rate when booked as a package.

The Teacher

Matt Giordano

Yoga instructor Matt Giordano gives credit to an influential figure from his teenage years – his high school art teacher – for sparking within him the curiosity and tenacity that eventually led him to yoga. It was Eileen Walk who told Giordano, “You are not allowed to say ‘I can’t.’ You must rephrase to a question: ‘How?'”

That inquisitive and unrelenting spirit laid the foundation for Matt to begin a devoted yoga practice. When coupled with his passion to understand the physics and subtle alignment of the body, Matt’s dharma as a teacher came into focus.

Global Flow x Matt

This year, Matt Giordano joins Global Flow in Amsterdam for the first time. I first met Matt at the German Yoga Conference in Cologne and was immediately drawn to the clarity and intelligence of his teaching. His work opens up new possibilities in movement and awareness, often bringing insight into long-held patterns in the body.

Alongside the physical practice, Matt also shares live music during the immersion. I hope to welcome you and share this experience together within the Global Flow community.
