About the intensive

Join Shiva Rea for a 26-hour immersion into the roots of vinyasa, science of flow and power of movement meditation for vinyasa teachers and practitioners of all levels. You can join the complete 4-day Intensive, or choose one of the 2-day options: Saturday & Sunday or Monday & Tuesday.

In Prana Flow vinyasa is a wave, a rhythmic way of life, and key to creating flow within one’s body and life.

Rhythmic Prana Vinyasa is a method for highlighting the pulsation of breath and the intelligence of rhythm.

We will explore the roots of vinyasa through a progression of five pathways of transformative sequences encompassing solar-lunar rhythms, elemental balance and deeper strength, opening and integration.

Throughout the immersion, Visvambhar Sheth will join as a guest teacher, accompanying several sessions with live kirtan and percussion. His music, deeply rooted in bhakti and shaped by years of dedicated practice, adds a powerful rhythmic and heart opening layer to the practice, supporting a more embodied, immersive experience of movement and collective energy.

This intensive can be taken as part of the Samudra School for Living Teacher Training, or as a standalone intensive with Shiva.

Working with mandala-based vinyasa, the practice supports vitality and creative movement while connecting the physical practice to the rhythms of daily life.

The masterclass stands on its own and also complements the intensive beautifully. You’re welcome to book this session separately or include it as part of your weekend at a reduced rate.

Her work is rooted in a deep relationship with breath, rhythm, and the innate intelligence of the body, shaped through decades of practice, study, and teaching across cultures and landscapes worldwide.

Her teaching draws from the roots of vinyasa yoga and is informed by long-term study in tantra, Ayurveda, the Krishnamacharya lineage, kalaripayattu, world dance, and somatic movement. Global Flow x Shiva

Shiva Rea was one of my first teachers. I began practicing with her sixteen years ago, and her work has had a lasting influence on my own path as a practitioner and teacher. Through her teaching, yoga revealed itself as a creative and embodied practice that continues far beyond the mat.

What resonates deeply at Global Flow is the way Shiva weaves embodiment and ritual into her work, inviting practices that are felt and lived. We’re excited to share this aspect of her teaching with our community and to create space for this way of practicing together.
